There was no shortage of slimming overcoats, ruffles, neck ties and other such 1960s-Paris influences that danced down the Maison’s Fall 2006 runway. Evidently inspired by the era, Lagerfeld added his own, modernized spin to the vision board–namely, with bejeweled surfaces, raw edges and skin-baring hemlines. The remaining lineup, if you can picture it, looked an awful lot like this jacket. Rendered in the Maison’s age-old bouclé tweed, it was crafted from a wool-cotton-mohair blend with an asymmetric ‘CC’ button placket and a built-in necktie that’ll look fabulous when fastened. Pair yours with a thigh-grazing mini skirt and your favorite ruffled blouse to truly conjure the era.
